How it all began…
It all started one dreary December evening when I was baking a Buche de Noel for my French Class. I was a “newbie” to the kitchen, so much stress and confusion, and many burns later, I had finally finished, only to look outside at the abundant snowfall. As luck would have it, we had a snow day, but I desperately wanted to share with my teacher my efforts (and receive the two extra credit points that had motivated me to attempt such a daunting task). To remedy this problem, and continue my budding passion for baking, Bringing Home the Bakin’ was born.

Hey —
Your dad told me about this site. I love it :]
I’m not the baker myself haha, but I’ll try my hardest to force Sarah (my sister) to make some of them for me, because they look absolutely scrumptious!

WOW! you are an amazing cook.
I’m quite jealous of your friends and family who get to eat this food.
The point of my writing this comment is that I was wondering if you had any good dessert recipes you know containing kiwis. If you would be so kind to make a recipe containing kiwis I would be so happy.

I had no idea there was another “baker” in the family!! So exciting. I would love to bake sometime with you. Did anyone tell you I went to the International Pastry Art School, in NYC? I have the best recipes. Love to share with you.
Also, for halloween what we do is make garbage halloween cookies. Whatever is in the bag that can go in a cookie ends up in one. Of course, we majority of the candy while baking!!
Love,
Lara

Lara,
I was so shocked when I saw this message, as my mom just finished telling me how you loved to bake! I would love to bake with you as well! I’ll have to try that recipe in October 🙂
